Description

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) Screening detects the concentration of IgG in the body to identify allergens, covering up to 40 food groups, including milk, seafood, fruits, meat, nuts, to name but just a few. IgG food allergies can cause mild itchy skin in general, and in severe cases fatal complications. Therefore, for the health of yourself and your family, the best way to prevent allergens is to identify the source and avoid exposure to or consumption of allergens.

Immunoglobulin G Screening is an effective test introduced from Germany; it helps to identify allergic triggers by a simple blood test.

Food allergy, eczema, nasal allergy, asthma, urticaria, skin allergy, hives and contact dermatitis are all allergen-induced symptoms that can be identified by the IgG and IgE tests. We also provide instant IgE food allergy test. Leave your name and contact number via WhatsApp (852) 6324 5948. We will respond within a business day.

FAQ

What are IgE immediate food allergy and IgG delayed food allergy?

IgE immediate food allergy, as its name suggests, is an allergic condition triggered by immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies and that occurs immediately or within 30 minutes to 2 hours after exposure to food allergens. Therefore, it is possible to know immediately what makes you allergic. Commonly known allergens are dust mites, animal hair, pollen, mould, seafood, they are all allergens that can be detected by IgE screening.

On the contrary, IgG delayed food allergy means that the allergic symptoms appear later, about hours or even days after consuming the allergenic food. Therefore, it is difficult to determine what is causing the allergy and must be tested. By performing IgG (the food allergens causing delayed reaction) screening via blood sampling, allergenic sources can be identified and revealed completely. These allergens are often from foods that we come into contact with regularly, such as eggs, milk, wheat, soy, nuts, etc.

What are the symptoms of allergic reactions?

Allergic reactions usually occur a few hours to a few days after exposure to the allergen. Skin symptoms include itchy skin, eczema, urticaria (rubella), red rash, nasal allergy, asthma, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and so on. In severe cases, it can lead to life-threatening conditions such as dyspnoea and hypotension.

How long does it take to make an appointment?

Please make your appointment at least 1 working day in advance. Call (852) 2156 5857 or leave your name and contact number via WhatsApp (852) 6324 5948. We will respond within a business day.

Do I need to fast before the IgG test?

No. Blood can be drawn at any time and also during an allergic attack (optimal period).

How often do I need to have an allergy test?

Body may react differently to allergic substances due to changes in lifestyle or diet. It is recommended that people with allergies should be tested once a year to effectively monitor their allergies.
